IT & Data Science Conference
The next, 15th edition of Warsaw Computer Science Days was held in Warsaw on April 5-6. The event again attracted thousands of interested parties and took place for the first time at the National Stadium.

The conference was very diverse and included more than 25 thematic tracks and presented more than 300 speeches in 3 different topics (desktop, online live, and VoD. It also allowed a number of exhibitors from the IT and FinTech industries to showcase their products and services, providing an opportunity for interested individuals, especially young people, to inquire about ongoing recruiting efforts and opportunities to match their skills and knowledge to the profile of a particular company. Leading IT employers have made it possible to apply directly for open positions.
Varied format and topics
The scope of the conference and lectures covered many interesting areas that have been developing rapidly recently, such as:
- Technology trends
- Programming
- Testing
- Cloud & Ops
- Data Science / Big Data
- IT Security
- Business Analysis

Participants in the various sessions had the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures on trends, latest solutions and production experiences. The sessions also varied in terms of sophistication (junior, mid, senior).
The power of artificial intelligence
Lectures on AI were the most popular. This is not surprising if we note that IT companies are increasingly using AI to optimize operations, detect cyber threats or personalize user experiences. Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of the growth and competitive strategy for companies in the IT industry, changing the way they operate and compete in the market.

AI is also attracting the attention of the art industry. During the conference, we learned that there are advanced algorithms based on neural networks that can generate melodies, musical arrangements and even full musical pieces. These AI models learn from huge music data sets, allowing them to create music in a variety of styles and genres. While AI can generate impressive musical compositions, the decision on their artistic value always remains in the hands of the viewer.
Women in IT
The conference also featured a panel on women. Despite progress in gender equality, women are still a minority in the IT world. According to a study by Bulldogjob, they occupy less than 20% of all positions in the industry. During WDI, we were able to hear the personal stories of many talented female professionals who shared their experience, advice and tools.
It is important to continue the dialogue on the role of women in IT and to take concrete steps to build a more inclusive and sustainable work environment in the technology industry. Through the combined efforts of the community and the support of educational, government and business institutions, we can create a future in which women play a key role in shaping the technological future.
